Faster Waltham City Council Meetings?

Could City Council meetings be more efficient?

A Waltham City Councilor has requested creating a committee to study the council's rules in hopes of making the meetings more efficient and speedier, according to the Boston Globe.

City Councilor Joe Vizard made the request during the Council's Nov. 12 meeting and the council's Committee of the Whole will study the idea at its next meeting before sending it back to the full Council for a vote, according to the Globe.

Vizard said the study was needed because many meetings run until around midnight after starting at 8 p.m. A prior effort to start the meetings at 7 p.m. failed.
