Boston Man Pleads Guilty To Killing Waltham Man

A Boston man has pleaded guilty to manslaughter in the death of a Waltham man at Regis College in 2010, according to the Middlesex County District Attorney's Office.

, 22, of Boston, pleaded guilty to voluntary manslaughter, assault and battery with a dangerous weapon and assault with a dangerous weapon during an Aug. 30 hearing at the Middlesex Superior Court in Woburn, according to the DA's office.

Robenson stabbed Elhadji Malick Ndiaye, 18, of Waltham, to death during a dispute on the campus of Regis College on Sept. 24, 2010.

Judge Elizabeth Fahey sentenced Daniel to four to five years in state prison on the mansalughter charge and three to five years for assault and battery charge, according to the DA's office. On the assault charge, Fahey  sentenced Daniel to five years probation after he is released from prison. Robenson, on the judge's order, must also stay in school or hold down a full-time job as part of his probation. Fahey also ordered Robenson to not posess a dangerous weapon. Robenson is also prohibited from having any contacting with the victims, witnesses or their family members.

At around 3:50 a.m. on that night of the incident, Robenson stabbed Ndiaye in the chest during a fight with the surviving victim, according to the DA's office. A witness broke up the fight. The Chief Medical Examiner's Office later ruled the death a homicide. The survivng victim was treated for his wounds and later released form the hospital.

Investigators determined that the fight erupted after Robenson and the victims, all of whom had been on campus with friends visiting students, exchanged words, according to the DA's office. Both groups left the dormitory building after which the fight ensued. 

State Police  later arrested Robenson on Sept. 30, 2010 with assistance from Weston and Boston police, according to the DA. A Middlesex county grand jury later indicted Robenson in November of 2010 after a Waltham District Court judge orderd him held without bail.
