The Annual Prostate Cancer Awareness Day (PCAD) was established in 2009 to expand and solidify a Massachusetts model of national leadership in recognizing prostate cancer as a public health priority and major area of health care disparity. This event has resulted in the rapidly growing support for increased research funding for the advancement of early diagnosis of prostate cancer among key state legislators.
This year's event features Olympic Gold Medalist Aly Raisman, Boston Marathon record-holder Bill Rodgers, Massachusetts State Treasurer Steve Grossman, Senate President Therese Murray, Speaker of the House Robert DeLeo, and many other key leaders of the State House, Boston City Council, medicine and advocacy.
