Waltham Mayor Jeannette McCarthy will host her annual doo-wop concert on Aug. 17 at 5:30 p.m.
The John Penny Band will begin performing at 5:30 p.m., however this will be the band's final performance, according to Mike Joyal, a member of The Reminisants, another band scheduled to perform.
John Piantedosi, known to many as John Penny, and the leader of the band, died in January 2013. Joyal said the final show will include a tribute to Piantedosi.
The Reminisants, an oldies band, will take the stag at 7 p.m. while Jay & The Americans will perform at 8:30 p.m.
