THE PURIM SHOW! A Musical Celebration

Directed by Hankus Netsky (chair of Contemporary Improvisation Dept. at N.E. Conservatory and Director of the Klezmer Conservatory Band)


Featuring Henry Carrey and Amanda Miriam-Khaye Siegel and The New England Conservatory Jewish Music Ensemble


•Featuring a 1932 Purimshpil (in Yiddish and English) written by Serena Hollender, sister of TBI member and local musical treasure Morris Hollender. Last performed in the 1930s by family members going door to door on the holiday (as was the Eastern-European tradition) in rural Carpato-Ruthenia.
