Revolution
Join Waltham historian Jack Cox for an exploration of the
early history of the Boston Manufacturing Company and its impact on Waltham. Two
hundred years ago, Francis Cabot Lowell and his associates opened the Boston
Manufacturing Company in Waltham. The system of manufacturing pioneered by Lowell
became the prototype for the textile industry, transforming the town of Waltham
and shaping New England’s economy for generations to come. Co-sponsored with
the Waltham Historical Society.
