Winter Storm Nemo: What's Closed or Canceled in and Around Waltham

With the blizzard on the horizon, events are being cancelled and offices are being closed already.

The specter of Winter Storm Nemo has people preparing early for the expected heavy snow storm to hit Waltham, and some events have already been cancelled and offices closed.

Here is the list of closures and cancellations in and around Waltham.

  • Waltham District Court (and all Massachusetts Courts): Closed 3 p.m. Friday. Also, All first day jurors scheduled for Springfield, Woburn, Somerville, Boston and Worcester are cancelled on Friday.
  • Waltham Public Schools are cancelled for Friday.
  • Bentley University: evening classes on Friday are cancelled, non-essential offices are closed.
  • Waltham Public Library: Closed
  • Chapel Hill-Chauncey Hall: Closed, Winter Carnavale events are postponed until Monday, Feb. 11.
  • Brandeis University: Closed
  • City Hall: Most offices closed. Mayor's Office, Treasureer and City Clerk are open until noon.
