What Do You Want To Change on Waltham City Website?

Tell your city officials what improvements you want to see on the city government website.

Ever log on to the City of Waltham website and not find the information or service you need?

Here is your chance to help change that. At the suggestion of City Council Ken Doucette, we are seeking suggestions for changes you, the Waltham taxpayer, would like to see made to the website.

In the comments section below, leave your thoughts. They will be forwarded to city officials.

I'd like to see the name of a new mayor and new councillors. Like old diapers-time for a change!

I'd like to see a master calendar of what's scheduled on the Common, at minimum, or even better include community events. Too often we have many events on one day because each org didn't know about the other's plans. It also helps advertise such events community-wide.

I'd like to see the minutes of the council and committee meetings so that those of us who don't want to watch the whole tape can see the highlights of what went on. I'd also like the site to look like it was created in the 21st century.

I would like to see more news about events at the Waltham Public Library. They offer films, children's activities and occasional speakers and programs.

I would like to see ALL city council meetings posted, check out how few of the weekly 2012-13 meetings have been posted. Also to post "committee meetings". Check it out at http://www.city.waltham.ma.us/home/pages/streaming-video Ah, also the School Committee meetings!!!

I would really like to see a quick and easy form to submit the location of a pothole, TV that needs picking up, or other city-related issue. A mobile app to record these issues along with their location would be ideal.

+1 Oliver's comment.

I think the Trash/Recyling/Yard Waste Calendar is hard to find and also somewhat unclear. I use it a few times a year to check for holiday delays and I have a hard time finding it and figuring out if it pertains to just Yard Waste or also includes Reclying and Trash.
