Waltham's Week In Social Media

Every Saturday we look at the week that was on Waltham Patch's Facebook and Twitter feeds.

Here at Waltham Patch we take social media pretty seriously.

The platform is one way we look to interact with you, answer your questions and get to see what's on your mind. Social Media Saturday is a weekly feature where we highlight your questions and thoughts you've shared on Facebook and other media throughout the past week.

We'll also point you to some new and interesting pages you may not have known about before.

Highlights Of The Week

  • Waltham Patch's Facebook page's popularity continued to rise. At the end of last week, Patch had 239 likes, but as of Friday, we had 248. Among the new likes are William Gastrock and Ed Mack.
  • Patch received an interesting comment from reader Wayne Gebhardt in respone to a story about a : "I still have my bumper sticker from the 1960s that says 'I survived Route 128' It also has a skull & crossbones on it. So far, so good!"

Social Media Page of the Week

Each week we will highlight a Facebook or other social media page related to Waltham. This could be a business, an organization or a town page. If you have a recommendation for a page to highlight email ryan.grannan-doll@patch.com or tell us on Facebook.

This week's choice is the page of the Waltham Police Department. They are constantly updating the community with warnings of scams and road work issues.
