Horizons For Homeless Children Receives Holiday Donation From WinterWyman To Provide Toys & Books To Children

Waltham, Massachusetts (December 27, 2013) — WinterWyman, a Waltham, MA-based recruitment firm announced today that Horizons for Homeless Children (Horizons), a non-profit organization dedicated to improving the lives of young homeless children and their families by ensuring that they are prepared for school success, was the recipient of the firm’s seventh annual holiday donation.  Past recipients include the American Red Cross, Santa Claus Anonymous, Franciscan Hospital for Children, Cradles to Crayons and the Home for Little Wanderers.

Horizons will use the $15,000 donation to help provide toys, books and engaging learning opportunities for very young children who experience the trauma of not having a place to call home.

Horizons for Homeless Children is the only organization in Massachusetts focused exclusively on the needs of young homeless children and their families. They are recognized as a national leader in the education of homeless children and provide high-quality early education, opportunities for play, and family engagement services to more than 3,000 homeless children in Massachusetts.
