Hammond Agent Todd Movsessian is Elected Director of the Greater Boston Association of Realtors® (GBAR) for 2014

Chestnut Hill, MA – December 23, 2013 – Todd M. Movsessian, a salesperson with Hammond Residential Real Estate in Belmont, has been elected a director of the Greater Boston Association of Realtors® (GBAR) for 2014.  As a GBAR director, Movsessian will serve as an elected representative of the association’s general membership in governing the association’s policies, programs and business activities.  

In his role as a director, Movsessian will act as an association ambassador promoting REALTOR® initiatives and communicating directly with members on behalf of GBAR leadership. This will include appearances at office meetings of local real estate firms and other industry forums to educate agents and brokers on GBAR programs and benefits, assess membership sentiment and convey concerns to association leadership, and inform local Realtors® about industry trends, public policy issues, and the organizational activities of the association that are relevant to members’ business. In this elected position, Movsessian  will also serve as an association spokesperson and a liaison between GBAR and state legislators through participation in “Calls-for-Action” on legislative and regulatory issues important to the real estate industry. ​

A Realtor® since 1995, Movsessian currently serves on the GBAR Professional Standards & Ethics Committee, Programming Committee and the Nominating Committee.  In addition, he serves on the Board of Trustees of the State Association’s Charitable Foundation and the Young Professionals Network Committee this year.  Previously, Movsessian served on the GBAR Membership Benefits Committee from 2008-2009, Education Committee from 2009-2010, was Vice Chair of the Programming Committee from 2010-2011 and served on the Awards Selection Committee in 2012.  He has also served on the state associations On-Line Education Task force from 2007-2010, Mediation Committee in 2008, Communications & PR Committee in 2009, Member outreach PAG in 2010, and was a graduate of the Prestigious Leadership Academy in 2007. He has earned his Graduate, Realtors® Institute (GRI)) and Seniors Real Estate Specialist professional designations.
