Katz Properties, a real estate investment, development and management company, acquired the six-screen cinema at 16 Pine St. off Moody Street from its original owners, Ship To Shore LLC, who built the theater in 1998, according to the report.

How about G & PG Rated movies??? Parents have had to go out of our own town to see movies for our children. Much rather give out local cinema the business but they never offer G or PG movies. Love to have afternoon as well as weekend offerings. let's hope!!

I hope the nature of the Embassy doesn't change; its offerings of more interesting, independent films have been so much better than the schlockbusters that fill up the screens of other movie houses, and I've always appreciated that. It's fine to run the "family friendly" movies, but to give up on the more serious, artistic films would be a great loss.

Yes, there are plenty of places to see mainstream hit movies. Leave the scheduling at the Embassy the way it is.

How about adding a bathroom on the first floor instead of having to go upstairs all the time

I suspect it'll go away. New company means trouble. We live in a world where everyone sells everything for more $$. No $$ - they destroy and build stores. Bad move for Waltham.
