Waltham Restaurant Inspections: Hand Washing Issues

The Waltham Health Department recently inspected many of the city's restaurants.


The Waltham Health Department recently inspected many of the city's restaurants. 

The reports are public record and if inspectors find issues, they follow up with future re-inspections to assure the issue is resolved. If the Board of Health finds repeated problems, it can call them for a hearing with the board.

-Wilson's Diner, 507 Main St.: A Dec. 2 inspection ordered the eatery to clean a floor under a grill and a shield inside of an ice maker. 

-Waltham Pizza, 169 Lexington St.: A Nov. 25 inspections ordered the cleaning of a sink, the cleaning of a hand washing sink, two refrigerators and the condiment refrigerator. They also ordered food be covered. A Nov. 29 reinspection found no issues. 

-Domino's, 205 Lexington St.: A Nov. 25 inspection ordered the repair of a hand washing faucet in a bathroom. A reinspection on Nov. 29 found no issues. 

-Prospect Cafe, 137 Prospect St.: A Nov. 29 inspection ordered hands to be cleaned, the cleaning of a table under a grill and cleaning the sides and floor of a fryolator. 

The Tea Leaf, 487 Moody St.: A Nov. 29 inspection ordered the stairs of a basement be cleared of mice droppings. A Dec. 6 reinspection found no issues.
