Every week there seems to be a litany of violations. One of the reasons I moved here years ago was for the restaurants. I never remember seeing this many publicized violations when I lived in Cambridge. What's going on?

There are the same violations in Cambridge. You have to go looking for them. They are accessible via the city website. Boston also posts inspections on their site.
