Waltham Restaurant Inspections: Fryolater Issue

The Waltham Health Department recently inspected several restaurants.

The Waltham Health Department recently inspected many of the city's restaurants. 

The reports are public record and if inspectors find issues, they follow up with future re-inspections to assure the issue is resolved. If the Board of Health finds repeated problems, it can call them for a hearing with the board.

Domenic's Bakery, 987 Main St.: During a Nov. 14 inspection, officials ordered an exhaust fan over a pizza oven be cleaned. 

Bits and Bites Cafe, 912 Main St.: During a Nov. 14 inspection, officials ordered a floor a wall under a sink be cleaned. They also ordered knives not be stored between a sink and wall. 

Tempo, 474 Main St.: No issues found during a Nov. 14 inspection.

Guanachapi's 273 Moody St.: During a Nov. 8 inspection, officials ordered the ice machined be cleaned. A Nov. 14 re-inspection found no issues. 

Pho & Spice, 457 Moody St.: During a Nov. 8 inspection, officials found nobody was in charge and for vents over a fryolator be cleaned. They also ordered a wall beside a grill be cleaned and for food to be covered. No issues were found during a Nov. 14 re-inspection.
