Waltham Restaurant Closes

No reason was given for the closing.

The Elephant Walk on Main Street in Waltham has closed.

The eatery had a sign on its doors on Tuesday saying it had closed. The restaurant's website had more details but did not give a specific reason.

"I write this with profound sadness and regret, but The Elephant Walk in Waltham has closed. Please know that The Elephant Walk restaurants in Boston and Cambridge are both open for business and will be very happy to serve you. You can find them online here, and, of course, by phone: Boston – 617.247.1500 and Cambridge – 617.492.6900," owner Bob Perry wrote on the restaurant's website.

"Although we shared 'The Elephant Walk' name and cuisine, the Waltham restaurant became a business entity separate from the Boston and Cambridge restaurants on January 1, 2012, under my ownership. My former partners are doing a great job with their two restaurants and I urge you to continue to enjoy The Elephant Walk’s delicious Cambodian and French cuisine there. Thank you very much for your patronage," Perry wrote.
