The third annual Steampunk festival is coming to Waltham next week.
The festival, know as "The Watch City Festival" will be held from May 12-13, with preview events being held on May 11, according to the Charles River Museum of Industry & Innovation Web site. The museum is hosting the event.
The festival is loaded with events that highlight various aspects of Steampunk.
"For one weekend the city of Waltham is transformed into an alternate reality “trapped in time” where the lines between science fiction and the industrial revolution are blurred to bring guests into an immersible experience like no other!" the Web site reads.
Last year, the festival drew more than 10,000 people and hopes to attract at least 15,000 this year.
Admission charges are $20 for adults for both days or $15 per day. Children cost $10 for the weekend of $7 per day. Some events are free.
