"For one weekend the city of Waltham is transformed into an alternate reality “trapped in time” where the lines between science fiction and the industrial revolution are blurred to bring guests into an immersible experience like no other!" the Web site reads.

Last year, the festival drew more than 10,000 people and hopes to attract at least 15,000 this year.
