- Why did it open in Waltham instead of another town?: “At the time, I thought Waltham was the perfect mix economically. I thought people from Weston would come, and with (Route) 128 right there … it’s just an accessible city, and there are good restaurants around here for me to go to!”
- How many employees work at the studio? Four teachers work there as well as an administrative staff.

- What are the challenges of running a business: “I had come to a point in my life where I thought I would be able to run a business. It’s a little naïve to think you know how to run your own business. I have no regrets at all about running this.”
- What is your favorite part about running a business: “The satisfaction of selling something to people that they want, appreciate, love and thank you for. There’s a big difference between selling something that you love, and just selling something.”
- What is the worst part of running a business: “I’ve created a very tough job for myself. Seven days a week for almost 365 days a year isn’t healthy for anyone. That’s the kind of position I’ve put myself in. You have to love it.”
- Do you have plans to expand: “I did (expand), right before the stock market crashed! But, something with my business partner didn’t work out, and the stock market took a fall. We aren’t moving locations, but maybe [expand] with more space.”
- What do you get out of running a business: “It’s not the ‘being your own boss’ thing. If you don’t realize that your customers are your bosses and you want to be your own employer so you can show up five minutes late in the morning, then you’re going into the business for the wrong reasons. It’s just incredibly satisfying. To make money out of something you’ve created is a much better feeling than a bonus check.”

- Why did you choose to open this type of business: “I was addicted to yoga, and I wanted it to be a part of my life. The last studio I went to, the lady was never there, and I kept saying to myself, ‘If I had my own studio…’ and then that’s how the business plan developed.”
- Would you say your business has been successful?: “It depends on how you define success, but I think it’s been successful. One, financially it’s a success. It’s also growing every day. The people who are excited to bring their friends in here … it’s incredible.”
- What is an average day like for you: “I get up pretty early and teach pretty much throughout the day and night, regular classes and private clients. In between classes it’s running the business: paperwork, planning, meetings, cleaning…I always make time for my own practice though, five or six days a week.”
