High End Italian Deli Coming to Moody Street

A new Italian deli will open soon on Moody Street, which will serve breakfast, lunch and have a store, too.

Moody’s Delicatessen & Provisions is the brainchild of Joshua Smith, who has worked at Tico, Sweet Caroline’s and Battery Park, according to a piece on Boston Eater. The restaurant will also serve weekly farm-to-table dinners and offer deli platters, Smith told Eater.

City Councilor Robert Logan confirmed the store is taking over 468 Moody St., which currently houses Salem Foods.

Smith has a charcuterie background going back to his days working at Dean & DeLuca. He hopes to open by September.
