An 8,000-square-foot “beefsteak” restaurant is coming to the former Polaroid site in Waltham.

“Flank, The New American Beefsteak” will feature cuts not usually found on restaurant and steakhouse menus, such as flank, skirt, hanger and coulotte, according to a BostInno report. As with traditional beefsteak restaurants, silverware will be optional.

Greg Hill, host of WAAF’s “Hill-man Morning Show,” is behind the new venture, moving into the 280,000-square-foot mixed-use development at 1265 Main St.

People eating steak with their bare hands? It doesn't get any better than that.

You know, I have to laugh because the type of meat they are serving used to be considered cheap cuts because they are not that tender. Now somebody has figured out how to make them exotic and charge a lot of money for them.

Maybe they should call it Flank Attack! or just The Clogged Artery
