This Friday, July 13, there will be a meeting of people and groups interested in environmentalism and sustainability. It will be at 7PM at Harlan Protestant Chapel at Brandeis University. Attendance is free and everyone is welcome.
The event is being held by Climate Summer, a group of college students volunteering to promote the transition away from fossil fuels. The café-style event aims to encourage discussion across different disciplines and specialties. There will be two speakers, Sonja Wadman, Program Director of the Waltham Land Trust, and Eric Olson, professor at the Heller School for Social Policy and Management at Brandeis. The Waltham Land Trust is committed to land conservation by promoting, protecting restoring, and acquiring open space. Dr. Olson specializes in a variety of ecological topics. He will address evidence of climate change in recent weather patterns. The remainder of the event will be reserved for discussion between members of different groups.
