Waltham Police Arrest Three More in Downtown Robbery Attacks

Waltham Police have arrested three more people in connection with the downtown robbery attacks.

The following people each face a charge of unarmed robbery: Kenny Jean, 18 and Michael LeMay, 19, both of Waltham.

Yoshuel DeVictoria Lopez, 30, of Waltham, faces charges of unarmed robbery and assault and battery with a dangerous weapon to wit (baseball bat).

The trio of arrests comes after six other arrests in connection with the robberies last week.

Police believe the robberies are not connected with a series of recent purse robberies on Main Street.

Anybody with information on the robberies or purse thefts can call 781-314-3600 or leave an anonymous tip at 781-314-3636.

It boggles my mind how young people decide to destroy their own lives before they've hardly started. With all the difficulties in the economy, etc., right now, are there no other choices to make? Sometimes people with criminal backgrounds (especially when young) turn themselves around, wake up about "the road not taken." But I think there's going to be less and less tolerance for those whose actions are impulsively bad/dangerous. They'll either fall into a "pit," or will have to work extra hard to get their lives back on track. I hope it's the latter.

Karen I believe it's a cultural 'thing' ...young people are bombarded with bad taste & behavior till some think it is OK to do just about everything! I also blame parents for coddling and excusing their children's outlandish behavior, not all criminal ..but it sure makes it easy to lie, to steal to rob when everybody is doing it!

What I find amusing is that Waltham commentators seem by far to be more interested in debating 'puppy doe' and 'pit-bulls' than elders getting attacked on Main St in broad daylight. Anyhow, kudos to the WPD for catching these perpetrators. More to come?

Very good work! Very good.

Great job! @walthamguy, if you look at all the recent posting regarding pit-bulls you will see that it's all been posted by one person. There's no debating going on, just rampant posting by someone with too much time on their hands.
