Bill says "Thank you"!
I want to say thank you to everyone who took the time to vote last Tuesday. I especially want to thank those who voted for me. I will be forever grateful to everyone who helped my campaign out in any way. You cannot have a successful campaign without dedicated volunteers.
I also want to thank Ken Doucette for his time on the council and for all of the volunteer work he does in the community. Last, I have to thank my wife for putting up with me for the last 5 months. Running a campaign is a time consuming and at times a stressful endeavor. I couldn’t have done it without her help and understanding.
The transition from being a candidate to being a councillor has already begun. Tom Curtin the Assistant City Clerk called to tell me that I will begin receiving the weekly packet that is delivered to each councillor. I received a congratulations email from Tom Mango the City Treasurer with an offer to meet with him and talk about the city’s finances. I will take him up on it in a few days. I will also be at the Traffic Commission on November 21st to request a pedestrian traffic signal at the corner of Lake and Princeton Streets.

I have already talked with many of the other councillors about some of the issues that I hope can be addressed. Council President Waddick called and said to get in touch with him if I needed anything. I hope to hit the ground running in January and begin working on the issues that I talked about while campaigning. Thank you again for all your support.
