Here are some facilities that offer courses for adults, in topics ranging from the arts, to cooking and woodworking.
Arsenal Center for the Arts – The ArsenalARTS program at 321 Arsenal St. in Watertown covers the visual and performing arts in their programming. Adult courses include painting, pottery, and mosaics. Mosaics is the art of designing on a variety of repurposed materials such as glass, boxes, etc.
Osher Lifelong Learning Institute – This program, offered through the Rabb School of Continuing Studies at (Old South St., Waltham) offers a variety of courses of older adults. The current program includes offerings in literature study, socialization and economics.
Turtle Studios – This non-profit artist cooperative at 268 Arlington St. in Watertown provides art education to all regardless of background. Workshops include book binding, collage making and sculpturing. The sculpture lesson involves clay, wire and cardboard.

Waltham Public Schools – Their adult continuing education program covers a wide range of topics including cake decorating, woodworking and math. A citizenship course is also available in preparation for the U.S. naturalization exam.
Bentley University – The Executive Education program at Bentley (165 Forest St., Waltham) offers career development courses, which include women’s leadership, information technology and basic finance.

Watertown Community Education – Offered through the Watertown Public Schools, located at 30 Common St. in Watertown, a variety of adult education courses are available. Offerings include cooking, beading, and various dance classes such as Latin.
