Circus Smirkus Coming to Waltham Soon

Get ready for some Waltham circus fun!

Circus Smirkus is coming to Waltham for its 25th Anniversary tour, according to a press release.

The circus will stop at in Waltham for eight shows, July 26 - 29.

Kids ages 11 - 18 will perform highwire, juggling and other acts. The performers hail from nine stats inclduing two from Massachusetts, Olivia Saunders, 18 of Acton and Remi Sanchez, 16, of Amherst, according to the circus.

SHOW TIMES: July 26 - 27, 12 p.m., 7 p.m., July 28, 1 p.m., 7 p.m., July 29, 11 a.m., 4 p.m., July 29, 

This year's show is called "Topsy Turvey Time Travel: A Blast From The Past and Fun From The Future." The shows often raise money for the non-profit organizations that present it, but the Waltham show benefits Circus Smirkus, according to the press release

The circus was founded in 1987 by Rob Mermin, who started the group on a farm in Vermont, according to the press release.
