The circus is coming to Waltham.
Circus Smirkus, a travelling circus in which young kids perform, will perform its show July 28-31 at Gore Place, according to a press release from the group, a non-profit organization.
Twenty-nine performers, ranging from 10-18, juggle, perform acrobatic stuns, walk wires among other activities. This year’s theme — “Frontpage Follies: Big Top Big News,” will feature acrobatic anchormen or anchorwomen, juggling paperboys and “wacky weathermen,” according to the circus group. The Waltham performance is part of a larger tour that started Sunday, July 3 and will performed 70 shows over the next two months.
