Waltham Seeking Artists to Decorate Switch Boxes

Applications are due July 12.

Want to decorate a small part of Waltham? Here is your chance!

The city is inviting anybody to help paint 15 utility switch boxes throughout the city, according to an announcement form the city. Anybody that lives or works in Waltham is eligible to apply. 

The project is meant to help beautify Waltham. A Waltham student, Cora Casteel and former Waltham City Councilor Sally Collura organized the project conjunction with Waltham Mayor Jeannette McCarthy and the Switchbox Art Committee.

Applications are due July 12 at 4 p.m. Proposals can be sent to Waltham City Hall, 610 Main St., c/o Mayor’s Office, Waltham, MA, 02452. Proposals must follow directions outlined in the PDF attached to this article.
