Patch Picks: Places to Celebrate St. Patrick's Day

Everyone's Irish on St. Patrick's Day. Here are a few places to enjoy the holiday.

  • will hold a special St. Patrick’s day luncheon at the Senior Center at 488 Main St. The menu will include corned beef and cabbage dinner and there will also be musical accompaniment in the form of an Irish band that will be playing and signing traditional Irish tunes.
  • in Watertown will have Irish-inspired DJ Paul Connoly and will be serving a corned beef and cabbage dinner from 3 p.m - 8 p.m for $6.95, according to the owners it will be “delicious and the best deal in town.”
  • is featuring a number of St. Patty’s day specials, including a full breakfast from 8 a.m. - 11 a.m followed by a traditional all- you-can-eat corned beef and cabbage dinner. Live Irish music will be performed from midday until the wee hours of the night. The breakfast and dinner both cost $9.95 and the music by the Boston-based Irish band Olde Brigade is free of charge - there is no cover at the bar for any of the festivities.
  • in Waltham has Irish music most Friday nights and St. Patrick’s day is no exception. The New England band Erin’s Guild will be playing on St. Patrick’s day and the bar will be offering up an extensive menu of Irish delicacies starting at 9 a.m. including eggs and beans, black and white pudding, grilled tomato home fries, guinness beef stew, bangers and mash as well as their normal menu and an extensive variety of Irish whisky to wash it down.
