Massachusetts Gas Prices Down Again As June Begins

Last year at this time the average price was 14 cents lower than today’s rates.

While gas prices remained the same last week coming out of Memorial Day weekend, this week prices are down a penny, according to AAA Southern New England.

In its June 2 survey of gas prices in Massachusetts, AAA found self-serve, regular unleaded is averaging $3.64 per gallon, down one cent from last week. Prices locally are four cents lower than a month ago and the current price is three cents less than the national average for self serve unleaded of $3.67.

A year ago at this time the Massachusetts average price was 14 cents lower at $3.50.

The current range in prices in the latest AAA survey for unleaded regular is 26 cents, from a low of $3.53 to a high of $3.79.

Here are the current gas prices and ranges (all prices shown are self serve):

  • Regular Unleaded: $3.649 ($3.539-$3.799)
  • Midgrade Unleaded: $3.839 ($3.679-$4.059)
  • Premium Unleaded: $3.959 ($3.779-$4.299)
  • Diesel: $4.029 ($3.839-$4.399)

Yes Joe I agree with you 100% we could start a campaign to lower them, or just keep our mouths shut and pay the prices like we always do, our choice :p
