Does Waltham Need to Clean Up? Report Says 'Yes'

Waltham residents, in a new report, say the city needs to be cleaner.

The conclusion was drawn in a new report titled "Waltham Visions." The Waltham League of Women Voters compiled the report through surveys with residents.

"There were many complaints about cleanliness and trash, although three people thought that Waltham is a clean city," the report states.

"Most of the negative comments were about the streets, but also included some who want the parks to be cleaned. One acknowledged that people were part of the problem and need to be taught to keep Waltham clean."

The report calls for the city to better enforce cleanliness ordinances and have more public works crews to clean parks, sidewalks and roads.
