On (Aug. 1) a neighborhood meeting was held by Ward 9 Councillor Robert Logan and Ward 8 Councillor Stephen Rourke to hear from the neighbors about what they would like to see done with the former South Branch Library building on Hall Street.
Present were many citizens, Mayor McCarthy, at large Councillor Joseph Vizard and Recreation Director Sandra Tomasello. Various ideas were proposed.

Due to the location of the former library building to the adjacent Peter Gilmore playground, Recreation Director Sandra Tomasello stated her desire is to have the planning of both projects done at the same time.

Ms. Tomasello announced that a neighborhood visioning session will be held in the fall to discuss upgrades to the Peter Gilmore playground.
