Rockland Trust Charitable Foundations Awards $2,500 Scholarship to Waltham High School Graduate

The Rockland Trust Charitable Foundation today announced that Maddie Chambers, a 2013 graduate of Waltham High School, is a recipient of the 2013 Rockland Trust Charitable Foundation Scholarship.  Chambers is one of 10 students from the Foundation’s service area who received a $2,500 scholarship.  The Foundation chose recipients based on financial need, academic achievement, character, and community involvement.   Chambers will attend the University of Massachusetts Amherst in the fall.

Ralph Valente, Rockland Trust Senior Vice President and Director of the Rockland Trust Charitable Foundation; Arthur Viana, First Vice President and Director of the Rockland Trust Charitable Foundation; and Kerri Pigott, First Vice President and Metro West District Manager presented the scholarship to Chambers during a reception in the bank’s Franklin office on June 19, 2013.

“Rockland Trust is pleased to support academic excellence and community involvement within young people in our service area,” said Valente.  “We are confident that this scholarship will help Maddie, an ambitious, bright young woman, succeed educationally and personally.”
