Free youth performance this Saturday (5/31), free gospel workshop next weekend (6/7 and 6/8)!

Join us this Saturday, May 31st from 5pm-7pm for a free musical performance from the students of Boston’s Project STEP! Project STEP identifies musically talented children from underrepresented Boston communities and provides them with comprehensive music and string instrument instruction. The concert will take place at the First Baptist Church of Weston at 657 Boston Post Road in Weston. More on Project STEP and the performers can be found here: http://projectstep.org

We also invite both youth and adults to join us on June 7 and 8 for the 3rd workshop series at FBCW! Tyrone Sutton, Choral Music Director at Boston Arts Academy and Minister of Music at Charles Street A.M.E Church in Boston, returns to lead a two-day Gospel workshop. Mr. Sutton earned his Masters in Arts Education from Harvard Graduate School of Education, and previously worked with the Arts Education Partnership in Washington, D.C. and as an assistant for the coordinator for visual and performing arts in the Cambridge Public Schools.

The Saturday, June 7th Gospel Workshop will be from 1pm-5pm, followed by a Gospel performance on Sunday, June 8 from 10am-11am. Both will take place at the First Baptist Church of Weston. All are welcome to participate, regardless of singing experience and faith. To register, please visit: http://www.fbweston.org
