BLUE CROSS BLUE SHIELD OF MASSACHUSETTS VOLUNTEERS BRING HOLIDAY SPIRIT TO THE CRITTENTON WOMEN'S UNION: Company held toy drive and sorted toys on site for families in need across Massachusetts

December 20, 2013Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts (BCBSMA) partnered with Crittenton Women’s Union in Brighton this week to help sort through nearly 1,000 toys during their annual toy drive. Blue Cross also held its own toy drive for Crittenton leading up to the volunteer event. The toys will go to families in need around the Boston area this holiday season. Toys range from stuffed animals to fire trucks, and educational board games.

BlueCrew volunteers also volunteered at the Crittenton Women’s Union earlier this year during Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts third annual Service Day: One Community. One Blue. During the Service Day event, volunteers cleaned furniture, windows, playground equipment, along with helping with gardening, mulching, raking and painting a hallway. The volunteer event was led by Kristin Grant who recruited her own team from the Crittenton Service Day project to come back and volunteer again.
