On Dec. 5, the Appalachian Mountain Club will host a nature journaling event at Prospect Hill Park in Waltham.
"Learn to capture the beauty of nature with pen and paper. Prospect Hill Park, with scenic views and beautiful forests, is sure to inspire creativity. We collect acorns, leaves, and other cool items from nature and will practice sketching using a traditional Japanese 3-step approach. Be prepared to take a short hike on the forest trail," the announcement reads.
The event begins at 3:15 p.m. at Prospect Hill Park and is intended for ages 8 and up. Participants are encouraged to bring their own journal.
