City of Waltham City Hall

610 Main St, Waltham, MA
781-314-3000

The Waltham City Hall administers the town's various public services, such as voter registration, dog licenses and other items. Mayor Jeanette McCarthy is the chief administrative officer but also works the the city's governing body, its city council.

In addition to the various parking options, the MBTA's 170 and 553 buses dropoff on Main Street.

The building is easily identified by several features including a couple of memorials dedicated to veterans from various wars.

Hey Ryan -

Thanks very much for all your work on the Waltham Patch. It's a great resource. I do have some feedback about the page "Links to Sunday Mass Schedules."

- At the top, there's an implication that there is a weekly mass at City Hall. I would be surprised if this is the case.

- I think something like "worship service" could suffice for "mass," as not all churches use this term for their worship services.

- The church that is listed as " Waltham United Universalist" is actually First Parish Church in Waltham; alternatively, you could say "Waltham Unitarian-Universalist" in order to get across to readers that First Parish is a Unitarian-Universalist congregation. Also, it's not a Christian congregation. Instead, as the First Parish website says, "Unitarian Universalism is a caring, open-minded religious movement that encourages us to pursue our own spiritual paths. Our faith draws on many religious sources, welcoming people with different beliefs. We are united by shared values, not by creed or theological doctrine."

Waltham truly is truly diverse in many ways, not the least of which is in the diversity of religious communities. I was thinking that perhaps the weekly services could be accessed additionally under a Religious section in the Directory instead of just under events. If I were new to town, I'd look there before "events."

Best regards and happy spring!
