$7.00
The Charles River Museum of Industry & Innovation hosts “i Sebastiani”, a traditional Commedia dell’Arte troupe. Commedia dell’Arte is a form of masked, improvised comedy that has been around for five centuries. Shakespeare loved it, Moliére stole from it, and i Sebastiani recreates it, performing shows that evoke the spirit of Renaissance Italy, with starry-eyed lovers, bombastic military men, half-witted servants, and manipulative parents. No script is used; the actors develop the show from a sketchy outline, which turns each performance into a high-energy roller coaster of unpredictable plot twists and dialogue. Performance included with Museum admission.
