Join Representative Thomas Stanley, Honorary Chairperson, 10 other invited state legislators including Senators Mike Barrett and William Brownsberger and Representatives Jonathan Hecht and John Lawn, stakeholders from Greater Waltham Arc, Beaverbrook STEP, WCI-Work Community, Independence and Eliot Community Human Services for a legislative town meeting on services for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The program will include remarks by legislators and community members on Chapter 257/Program Rate Setting, Family Support and Turning 22 Law/Funding. The public is welcome to attend this free event. No tickets required.

The Douglas MacArthur Elementary School is one of six district elementary schools. Located in a residential neighborhood the modern red brick building features many surrounding trees.
In recent years, the school has performed well on MCAS. Currently, the state Department of Elementary Education has placed the school in "no status," which means they are meeting their performance requirements.
