We were told in a previous post that no business would open until the developer rememdied the issues discovered by the city counsel. This was the explanation given for the delay in Five Guys and Panera. Now we have two additional openings, neither of which are restaurants. Has the city council provided any further explanation for the delay in opening the only two things that people would actually go to in this marketplace?

Adam,

EWC is allowed to open "by right," meaning they do not require a special permit to open. Five Guys, Chipotle and Panera Bread all require special permits.

Ryan -

The councilor said it had nothing to do with the special permits in a previous comment section. He was adamant that it was strictly the builders mistakes and not food permits. I'm curious if he can square those comments with the current situation.
