Patch is profiling Boston Marathon runners living in Waltham.
For two Waltham residents, completing yesterday’s Boston Marathon was more than just an athletic achievement. For Melissa Alcorn, it meant overcoming an IT band injury to raise money for the fight against cancer and for Kirk Andriano it was a repeat of a feat he last attempted in 1982, when he was in his mid-20s.  The pair was just two of 37 Waltham residents who ran the marathon yesterday.
