Candidate for Governor's Council, District 3

Tom Sheff Has the Right Experience to be the Next Governor's Councilor for District 3

Thomas A. Sheff was born and raised in Newton, Massachusetts. He was raised with a keen sense of civic responsibility, pride and activism.

Tom graduated from the Newton Public School System. After High School he received a Bachelor of Arts in government from Clark University.  Ensuing college, Tom attended Law School (1987-1989) in Michigan. After law school, Tom was office manager for the family law firm for years, where he developed an appreciation for the legal system.

Tom's responsibilities in the law firm were dealing with lawyers and judges on a daily basis, researching case law and managing the day to day operations of an extremely high profile and successful law office.

Tom ran for Mayor of Newton in 2005, due to his belief  that the city was being poorly managed, a belief that was confirmed by the financial professionals of the Blue Ribbon Commission and Citizen's Adviory Group. Tom also hosts/produces an informative TV show on NewV called Veracity.

Most recently, Tom is co-founder of the newly formed Second-Life Computers (SLC). SLC is a charity set up to refurbish computers that would have otherwise been thrown away. SLC helps the less fortunate afford a computer through deep discounts, helps the environment, will help students learn more about computers and eventually will teach special ed children a new and valuable skill through training classes.

Professionally, Tom has vast experience in many financial positions. He worked in real estate, mortgages, insurance and managed the family law firm.

Tom believes very strongly in reform and looks forward to finding efficiencies in the governor's council, which has been around since 1780 without very much change.

Tom feels with his rare background in education, legal experience and entrepreneurship make him a perfect fit for the governor's council.  Now, he's looking to take his unique accomplishments and ideas to the State House, to do all that he can to make Massachusetts the best state it can be!

No one is paying attention to this race. Your probably a great guy that wants to help, but in this case your wasting time and money.
