Take a ride near the Winter Street bridge in Waltham and you might notice the sign in this photo, at the intersection of Winter Street and Totten Pond Road. Closer inspection will reveal something rather notable about the picture.

I noticed it the other day and took the photo. Not sure how long it's been up. I received a call today from someone who went by there today and aparantely someone on the project used black paint to block out DEADHAM!

I am sure that at least some native-born prisoners can read and write. Maybe they were just having a little fun with Deadham.
