What Should Go Into Empty Waltham Storefront?
This week's Visions for Vacancies brings us to 243 High St.
The former Keene Kuts building near the Newton line needs a new tenant, but what should it be?
This week's Visions for Vacancies brings us to 243 High Street, the site of the former Keene Kuts.
The location sits on the Waltham/Newton line across from a cemetary. It is accesiblel by car and MBTA bus and sits in a commercial district. According to city zoning regulations, the site could be used for several types of establishments including a church (by right), fast food restaurant or a used car lot (both with a City Council approved special permit).
What do you think think should move into this building? Leave your thoughts in the comments section below.

There's not enough parking in that area for commercial businesses - maybe pave it over and make a parking lot would be most helpful.

Merely all it is around that part of High St. are residential, an auto shop, and sports bar/restaurant. I'd rather see an used car lot or parking lot to fit in. There's already ample amounts of nearby restaurants; Moody Street is filled w/ them, here & there ones along the East side River St & North St, center of West Newton, etc.

Put Iron Mike and Rev. Plimpton in the window and advertise it as a dinosaur exhibit!
