Waltham's Social Media Saturday
Every Saturday we look at the week that was on Waltham Patch's Facebook and Twitter feeds.
Here at Waltham Patch we take social media pretty seriously.
The platform is one way we look to interact with you, answer your questions and get to see what's on your mind. Social Media Saturday is a weekly feature where we highlight your questions and thoughts you've shared on Facebook and other media throughout the past week.
We'll also point you to some new and interesting pages you may not have known about before.
Highlights Of The Week
- Waltham Patch's Facebook page's popularity continued to rise. At the end of this week, Patch had 260 likes, wherease we had 254 at the end of last week. Among the new likes was Flannery O'Brien.
- Patch received an interesting comment from reader Christine Gill: "This is a great resource. I work in Waltham, but live in Weymouth and am concerned about the Charles River so this is so helpful for me. Thank you!," she said of Patch's live coverage of Hurricane Irene.
Social Media Page of the Week
Each week we will highlight a Facebook or other social media page related to Waltham. This could be a business, an organization or a town page. If you have a recommendation for a page to highlight email ryan.grannan-doll@patch.com or tell us on Facebook.
This week's choice is the page of the Back Pages Books, a local bookstore. They are constantly updating the community on their business, located on Moody Street.
