State senate candidate Joe Kearns Goodwin is teaming up with former Massachusetts senate candidate Alan Khazei for a book drive in Waltham.

The book drive will be held on Saturday, July 14 at More Than Words on Moody Street, according to a press release from Goodwin. The drive will be held from 1 - 4 p.m. but book donations will be accepted at Goodwin's 683 Main St. campaign office this week. 

“It is our responsibility as a community to do all we can to ensure that we not only have jobs for today but that we are educating the next generation to secure the skills needed for the jobs of the future,” Goodwin said in a statement. “As state senator, I will support organizations like More Than Words which help to provide practical training for young people beyond the classroom.”
