Waltham Snow Emergency/Parking Ban To Be Lifted Sunday

Read this for more information on when the snow emergency will be lifted.

The snow emergency in Waltham will be lifted at 10 a.m. on Sunday, Feb. 10, according to Consolidated Public Works Director Michael Chiasson.

Starting at 10 a.m., motorists will again be allowed to park their cars on the street, Chiasson said.

Also, motorists must have their cars out of Waltham Public School lots by 10 a.m., Chiasson said, in order for crews to clean the lots. Motorists must have their cars out of city-owned lots by Monday before regular parking hours in the lots resume.

I live right down the street. What time are you all going to be digging out? I'll see if someone left a shovel and come lend a hand.

I thought the ban had been lifted today. Stores were open and giving discounts.

I hope that the owners of those cars show up to drive them away. The city says that all cars must be removed from school lots by 10 a.m. Sunday.

My boyfriend was driving around the South Side today (Sunday), and he said that the streets are an unplowed mess. Some of the side streets off Moody Street have ruts and mounds of snow in the middle -- poorly plowed or not plowed at all!
