Great. I get to spend another day with my grandkids. How many families aren't so lucky to have someone who can watch their kids, and have to take another day off of work because 3 days isn't enough to clean up from a snow storm?

You're right. And, you can't get a doctor's note for non-removal of snow to give to your employer.

I cannot believe that the city is still in such bad shape. I fully expected to see crews and plows out yesterday cleaning up all the streets that were still snow covered, opening up drains, and clearing sidewalks so that children could either safely wait for their schoolbuses or use their typical walking routes. Why so and still asleep at the wheel?

There was mention that they were "tired". Maybe they will catch up on their sleep by the time the next storm rolls around.

The mayor blamed the private contractor, but she also lifted the parking ban to early and this isn't the first time schools closed for days on end. How many times does it take to learn a lesson?

Lexington Street plow crew should be ashamed of themselves, as always the road is 1 1/2 lanes wide and they were a mess until Monday. I never heard them on the street but 3 or 4 times. They should really be going back and forth all the time.

The city has 4-6 Sidewalk plows but most are from the early 1990's they need replacement and have needed replacement for several years but oh look McCarthy has not funded it.

Have you seen a side walk plow work. They are terrible. Enforce the law which states you have one day to shovel your side walk.

Ok I don't understand why my kids bus stop and the sidewalk are still not done yet? What is going on with waltham!! So with that said I hope the mayor makes the right decision for school tomorrow because I wouldn't want any child to get hurt!!
