Waltham Police To Hold Youth Academy
Want to learn to be a police officer? Check out this youth police academy.
The academy will run from July 8 to July 12 at Waltham High School. It's open to students aged 12 - 16 and starts at 8:30 a.m. each day. It ends at 2 p.m.
"The academy will give participants a chance to learn some of the things officers learn in a real police academy. Topics will include accident investigation, motor vehicle laws and car stops, drug [identification] and investigation, and much more. Each day will start off with physical training and then move on to both classroom and practical exercises," the department wrote on its Facebook page.
Question should be directed to Officer Kevin Devoe at 781-314-5605, Officer Kristin Tracey or Officer John Farago at 781-314-5609, or Officer Kelly Komola at 781-314-5557.
