Since Patch launched in December, I've been excited to see the amount of participation from the community. Folks share photographs, write guest columns and create announcements and events. People post comments nearly every day. I've also heard directly from many of you, with suggestions and feedback about our stories. 

There's another way you can get involved, though it may not immediately be apparent from the layout of the site. So I wanted to take a moment to extend an invitation to every member of the community to write letters to the editor about issues of concern.

I am more than happy to publish these letters regularly. Letters should be no more than 300 words. 

All submissions should include your full name, address and telephone number for verification purposes. Send them to me at ryan.grannan-doll@patch.com with the subject line "letter to the editor." You can include relevant photographs with your message if you're so inclined, but that's completely optional.

The more Waltham Patch serves as a space for community dialogue, the more useful the site will be. So next time something bothers you, or moves you, about how things work in Waltham, consider taking a moment to send a letter to Patch. Chances are, you're not the only one who's noticed.
