Waltham Mass/Vigil Planned To Support Newtown, Conn.

Two events will soon be held in Waltham to support Newtown, Conn., as it reels from the recent mass murder of 26 people, including elementary school students. 

On Monday, Dec. 17, a Mass will be held at Our Lady Comforter of the Afflicted Church at 880 Trapelo Rd at 6 p.m., according to City Councilor Diane LeBlanc. 

Bentley University will host the other event on Dec. 17 at 9:15 p.m, according to Evan Honeyman, a university student. It is tentatively scheduled to be held at the Back Bay Rooms in the Student Center basement, Honeyman said. 

Only the event at Our Lady church is open to the public. The Bentley event is NOT open to the public, Hoffman said.
